The privilege of hosting the Aurora Awards and the Canvention has returned to Hal-Con after a long absence in Eastern Canada. The last time the Prix Aurora Awards were hosted in Nova Scotia was in 1993 at Wolfcon, and their last time in Atlantic Canada was 1999 in Fredericton at inCONsequential.
Canvention is the Canadian national science fiction convention, where the Prix Aurora Awards are presented. Normally it is held as part of an existing convention. This includes an AGM for members of the CSFFA (Canadian Science Fiction Fantasy Association), the governing body for the Aurora Awards.
Hosted at Hal-Con, on the 8th floor, no ticket purchase required but advanced RSVP will be required
