Interested in science fiction and fantasy that explores our interactions with nature? Then this panel is for you! Three faculty members from Dalhousie University and the audience will discuss how classic and contemporary Sci-Fi (literature, film, tv, etc.) represents the environment, human development, and how both are changing. Some subjects open for discussion include the way Sci-Fi explores human evolution, the rise of the genre of “climate fiction” or “cli-fi,” utopian/dystopian Sci-Fi, and the possible futures of human effects on the environment and vice versa.
